US is pumping Kiev regime with weapons and instigating it into military adventures, Russian Embassy says – Russian Politics and Diplomacy

WASHINGTON, January 29. /TASS/. The transfer of weapons by Washington to Kiev actually pushes the Ukrainian authorities to adventures against the inhabitants of Donbass, said Friday the Russian Embassy in the United States in a comment posted on Facebook.

“The US authorities announce day after day their feverish activity to deliver hundreds of tons of military aid to Ukraine. This is done under the slogan that the Russians desperately want to attack a neighboring state. The crazy “horror stories” never materialized,” the statement said.

“At the same time, it is obvious that Washington’s actions to constantly pump up the Kiev regime with new weapons actually incite it to military adventures against the people of Donbass. Today, the Ukrainian armed forces have opened fire on an apartment building in the village of Yasnoye near Dokuchaevsk,” the embassy noted.

“We once again call on Washington to force its neighborhoods to comply with the Minsk agreements, and not to give in to their belligerence and their attempts to forcefully assimilate the Russian-speaking population,” the diplomatic mission said.

Recently, allegations of a potential invasion of Ukraine by Russia have been echoed quite often in Ukraine and in Western countries. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov blasted the reports as an “empty and baseless escalation of tensions”, stressing that Russia poses no threat to anyone. Peskov noted that provocations can occur to substantiate such claims and warned that such attempts would lead to the most serious consequences.
