RAIFFEISEN BANK RECEIVES 1 BLN UAH PROFIT IN UKRAINE IN Q1 2021

Raiffeisen Bank Aval JSC (Kiev) net profit in January-March 2021 was UAH 1.087 billion, 4.9% higher than in the same period of 2020 (UAH 1.037 billion) .
According to a report on the financial institution’s website, in the first quarter of 2021, the bank’s net interest income was UAH 1.81 billion, net commissions reached UAH 561.39 million. UAH, i.e. 2.7% and 10.3% less than in January-March 2020, respectively.
The bank’s assets in the first three months increased by 1.5%, to UAH 108.86 billion, including a 1.4-fold increase in cash and cash equivalents, to UAH 22.38 billion, and a 3.7% increase in loans to customers, to 47.41 billion UAH.
The bank’s liabilities increased 0.5% to UAH 94.9 billion, including a 3.5% increase in customer liabilities to UAH 91.3 billion.
The bank’s equity increased by 8.2% to 13.95 billion UAH, while the share capital remained unchanged (6.16 billion UAH).
Raiffeisen Bank Aval was founded in 1992. As of January 1, 2021, its main shareholders were Raiffeisen Bank International with 68.27% of the shares and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with 30%.
According to the NBU, as of March 1, 2021, Raiffeisen Bank Aval ranked fifth in terms of total assets (UAH 118.336 billion) out of 73 operational banks.
