the Manchester American Legion will host its monthly having dinner this Thursday, February 10 at Amaral-Bailey post10 Church St. in Manchester.

Dinner, which this month is prepared and served by members of Scout Troop 3will be served at 7:00 p.m., Commander Allan M. Kirker noted. On the menu, Chicken Kiev from L. Coons.

Tickets will be sold at the door for $15 each. The show will open at 3:30 p.m.

COVID vaccination clinics

the Manchester Board of Health will host COVID-19 vaccination clinics first and third Mondays of the month—February 7, March 7 and 21—at City Hall, 10 Central Street, 2-5 p.m. The clinics are for anyone 12 years and older and by appointment only. Registration can be done at https://home.color.com/vaccine/register/capeann.

Pediatric clinics for children aged 5 to 12 will take place in the Essex Town Hall Auditorium, 30 rue Martin, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., February 11 and March 4. Only Pfizer doses will be available. Masks must be worn. A parent or guardian must accompany their child. A children’s film will be shown in the waiting room. Children will be offered a lollipop treat at the end of the waiting period. Water protection

Manchester is looking for up to six members of the ‘at large’ community to join the Water Resources Protection Working Group. This new task force is tasked with reviewing a 1990 report on the city’s water resources, updating it, and recommending actions the city should take to ensure an adequate, high-quality water supply to long-term residents. It is expected that the working group will need 12 to 18 months to complete its work. Interviews and / or appointments are scheduled during the meeting of elected officials on Monday. Essex Meetings

Selectors will meet virtually and in person on Monday, February 7 at 6 p.m. on the second floor stage of City Hall, 30 Martin Street. On the agenda are discussions on transitional moorings, the location of rowboat racks and a possible lottery for rack spaces, a draft affordable housing bylaw and the granting of fishing licenses to molluscs.
